We want people who have...

HUNGRY HEARTS

The shallow distractions of life never satisfy like the deep currents of God’s truth. We choose to come together and invite the Spirit to transform black and white words of the Bible into living water. We keep our eyes focused on where God is leading us and ask Him how we can contribute to the church’s calling.

“But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you.”

Romans 8:9

ATTENTIVE EYES

God looks on us as His beloved creation. We ask God to give us His eyes when we see others. We search out those who are broken and need healing from our Savior. We look for those who need a friend, and we show them His love. We believe everyone is called and included in God’s purpose to redeem our world.

“So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”

2 Corinthians 5:16-17

LINKED ARMS

God created people for community. We reflect the future of heaven when we worship Him together. We value the accountability of friends who look into our eyes and recognize when we are struggling. We rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn. And we do all of this together.

“This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members care for each other. If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad.”

1 Corinthians 12:25-26

OPEN HANDS

God is the owner and giver of everything. As we move through our day and interact with people, our hands are open. We offer a taste of God’s grace and point them to the cross as the source. We share what we have in His name so people understand God sees and cares about their needs.  Our open hands allow us to live in freedom and cling to our Savior more tightly than to anything He gives us.

“Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone.”

Galatians 6:10

A GOD-SIZED FOOTPRINT

God has a plan bigger that we can see. We say yes to partnering with Him as He reveals opportunities to bring light and hope to a dark world. We choose to invest in the next generation. We give to help the global Church. Even when it’s not comfortable, even when it requires sacrifice, we step forward when God asks us.

“You are the light of the world- like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”

Matthew 5:14-16
