FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT YOUR CHURCH?

Higginsville First Assembly is a Bible-based, Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered church. We try our best to provide clear and strong Biblical teaching, heartfelt and God-honoring worship, warm and loving fellowship, and vital, engaging evangelism.

HOW LONG ARE THE SERVICES GOING TO BE?

A typical Sunday morning at HFA usually lasts about an hour and a half. So if you are planning to attend our Sunday morning service that begins at 10:30am, it will usually be over by noon. (But we are always subject to the Holy Spirit’s time-frame, not our own!)

HOW SHOULD I DRESS?

We don’t have a “dress code”. You will see a wide range of clothing styles here on a typical Sunday morning, from men in suits to guys in blue jeans and boots. We want you to feel welcome to come as you are.

WHAT IS YOUR WORSHIP LIKE?

Music is a major feature of our worship before, during, and after the service. Instruments range from piano and organ to guitars and drums. Any given service may include traditional hymns, hand-clapping gospel songs, contemporary tracks, or reverent, worshipful choruses.

WHERE DO I TAKE MY KIDS?

We provide NURSERY CARE for infants and toddlers every Sunday morning. This loving, comfortable, and safe atmosphere helps show children at the earliest ages that church is a good place to be. Childcare also allows parents to focus on worship and reduces distractions.

Bible-oriented activities are provided during CHILDREN’S CHURCH (10:30am – 12:00pm) for preschool and elementary-age children. At this level, young children are taught to sing, pray, memorize Scripture, and learn important Bible truths. They are instructed and led in worship at their own levels.

On Wednesday evenings (7:00 – 8:15p) we offer a vibrant YOUTH SERVICE for your pre-teens and teenagers. We are devoted to seeing the lives of young people transformed by the love of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.
